A new trailer for Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number was released earlier today, you can watch it here.
The trailer (which lasts just over a minute) doesn’t appear reveal anything particularly novel about Wrong Number, in fact the biggest thought one may take away from it is that the sequel seems to be following very closely in its predecessor’s footsteps.
Not that this is a bad thing, not in the slightest. I was a big fan of the original game and will happily lap up some more psychedelic, gratuitous, 80s violence. Very happily indeed.
Despite this apparent perpetuity, a certain (short) section of the trailer appears to show two player controlled characters on screen at once. Many (quite understandably) took this to mean the introduction of a co-op mode. However these exhilarated thoughts were short lived, a post from the Hotline Miami twitter page claiming that the two characters, supposed siblings, will be controlled together.
All we be revealed later this year, or so we hope, when the game is released on Windows, Mac, Linux and Sony’s assortment of machines.
