Gigs: August Burns Red at The Fleece

Fancy countering the mushy lead-up valentines day next year? Then why not pop to Bristol’s The Fleece on the 12th of February, 2014 to numb yourself to most kinds of pain with August Burns Red.

The Pennsylvanian metal-core band have been going from strength to strength and in June of this year made a splash with their fifth proper album, Rescue and Restore.

Warming the audience up will be Being As An Ocean from California. Whether you’ve heard of them or not, any fan of August Burns Red will enjoy this support’s raw yet melodic sound and you’ll be well loosened up for the main session of moshing.

The Fleece is perfect for this kind of line-up; small enough to give a perfect view of the stage from wherever you are in the venue, but big enough to generate the atmosphere August Burns Red demands. With entry priced at £12 in advance, this is an opportunity not to be missed. Tickets go on sale at 9am, Friday the 27th of September.

Doors are at 7.30pm and the show is open to all ages (although under 16s must be accompanied by an adult and leave by midnight).
