Billy Murray, British actor and voice of Captain Price of the Modern Warfare series, last week let slip that Infinity Ward is working on the next instalment of the hugely popular franchise.
The quote, which was reported by thisisxbox, reads:
“Yeah, on Monday I am off to meet Infinity Ward about the next game, Modern Warfare 4, I’m doing work on the sequel to Modern Warfare 3, it carries straight on and I only ever appear in the Modern Warfare games…”
As the news circulated the net Infinity Ward were quick to respond, denying Murray’s claims via twitter.
Murray has since denied the story as well, asserting that his quote in the article was inaccurate and claiming that he was referring to a Modern Warfare game for China.
Who’s telling fibs? Who knows. Whatever the case one thing’s for sure; Modern Warfare 4 is on its way, most likely in November next year.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 meanwhile hits shelves next Tuesday, November 13th.
