Post-hardcore/alternative rock band Finch are an act which have been in the music scene for many years.
Formed in 1999, the band’s first two albums are still being played on repeat by many fans. With their debut record being released through the renowned Drive-Thru Records, Finch started off strong and are still going hard, despite a few setbacks over the years.
After a couple of hiatuses between 2006 – 2007 and 2007- 2010, the band were asked by their manager if they would do a show to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their debut album in 2012. From then on the rest is history and Finch have now released their third album, Back to Oblivion, much to the delight of their fanbase.
Back to Oblivion is an album which wasn’t done half-heartedly. Finch had to keep their work secret and it was extensively worked on behind closed doors with the well-respected producer, Brian Virtue, who also worked with some of Finch’s favourite artists too, including Deftones and Jane’s Addiction.
We chatted with the guys about production, Cpt. Jack Sparrow and much more which you can watch in our interview with them above.
