Warped UK is finally back on the agenda after skipping out last year; with a line-up full to the brim of new and old talent, Sunday 18th October is going to be a day you won’t forget.
Headlining the beautiful Alexandra Palace are two bands who over the years have become close companions– Black Veil Brides and Asking Alexandria. Whilst both come with their controversies, you cannot deny the sheer talent that both bands produce, consistently slaying every show they play with riffs galore and thrashing drums. Armed with their new vocalist, Denis Stoff, Asking Alexandria are sure to bring in a huge crowd whilst Black Veil Brides’s aesthetically pleasing show will keep you on your toes.
Alongside these two incredible headliners comes a wave of talent spanning across several generations. Dip into the old gems with Anti-Flag, relive those teenage dreams (or maybe even nightmares) with Metro Station, whilst Never Shout Never will be crooning lovesick songs.
Warped UK is fantastic for showcasing new, underground bands that you might not have heard of but will surely remember for all the right reasons. HECK, Twin Wild, ROAM, and Creeper are ones to watch that will no doubt be on the rise; don’t be afraid to wade into new waters because they’ll certainly go down a storm.
On your travels through the merch area, be sure to stop by the Teenage Cancer Trust stall. As Warped’s lead charity partnership for 2015, they’re holding a unique t-shirt Amnesty were fans can donate their old band t-shirts, or even purchase new ones for a donation. Rob Lynch and Tigress will also be holding signing for a small donation and there’s even the chance of buying a raffle ticket to win a special Warped Tour UK goody bag. It’s all for a good cause, so make sure you have a little look at what’s going on.
If all this isn’t enough to keep you tantalised, Warped are holding a pre-festival warm up party on October 17th with Trophy Eyes, Forever Came Calling and Beautiful Bodies playing an intimate show to get that festival buzz going.
We can’t think of any better way to spend a Sunday and can’t wait to go through Ally Pally’s doors once more.
